Many newbies into the world of internet marketing have often asked me what tyoe of products are best to sell or market.

My answer to them as always is to always market or sell Info Products. The reason for this is several.

With info products the desired value remains even after the purchase is made. I'll give an example here. Say you go online looking for a dress to buy. You come across this website that has just the dress for you, After making a decision to buy and you have paid for it via that sellers website, then your dress finally arrives. As soon as it does, you give it a try and discover that its not exactly what you wanted. You make excuses why you don't like the dress to yourself. You finally decide to return the dress and request a refund from the seller you purchased the dress from. What has happened here is that you have satisfied your desire for the dress, hence the desire value is gone.

Compare this now with an info product, which promises to teach you how to play the guitar in six months. After buying the ebook, you must first read it, then try out the lessons in the book before making a decision whether to ask for your refund or not. You find that the desire value is much longer here that with the dress.

Secondly with info products they are cheap to make and deliver. I once knew a man who got into a niche market where he was selling safes online. Just imagine the trouble he had having to store them and then even more hassle to deliver them to his customers. What a waste of time. But consider info products that are really cheap to make and easy to download because they are digital and can be received once a purchase is made.

Okay consider a physical product say a pair of socks. I now offer it for sale to you at USD$550 dollars. You probably would not buy this pair of socks from me unless it were a serious designer label or it belonged to some celebrity or the other. You probably would not pay me this amount for a pair of socks because in your mind you know what the value of a pair of socks is.

Compare this now with an info product whereby it teaches you how to do the one thing that has been nagging your mind or it helps you solve a particular problem. If I told you to pay me USD$250 for such info product, you probably will because that's as much value as you would place on something that you know would solve a particular problem for you. So you can clearly see why you must deal with info products and try as much to avoid physical products. Not that you would not be profitable selling physical products, but the hassle at the end of the day is really not worth it. Info product creation is really easy.
