Emoticons for Twitter status or Facebook

How to use Emoticons in Twitter and Facebook Status? Its been quite a while that I used Orkut now a days. From Orkut I remember how people used to use some Ascii emotions in their profile, nicknames and later in their status message. So I just tried it over facebook and twitter and it worked there too. There are some special UTF compatible characters that can be used on a website just like a text. So now instead of putting a : ) emoticon you can use ☺
Emoticons were first introduced by Instant Messengers like MSN and Yahoo and later they became so much popular that everyone had to use them. They are quite expressive sometimes when you are talking to something. I have a habit of using :p or emoticon and during the chat if sometimes I forget to put any of this the other person thinks I said something very seriously to him/her. lolz why they think I am kidding all the time. Ok not to waste more time, here is the list of some characters that you can use in your Facebook Status, Twitter and Orkut as emoticons.

Simply Copy/Paste the character and use them.
